Standing Start was created to give hope to those SCI patients who dream of regaining function. Through intense exercise based therapy programmes, a much improved quality of life can be achieved by encouragement, education, support and self belief.

How much does this all cost??
The first thing to do is our trial week - this comprises five 2 hour sessions at a cost of £450. This also inlcudes 2 FES cycle sessions
If you want to carry on then you can either :
We are also now able to offer active time on our FES cycle equipment. This is currently charged at £25 per session or ten sessions for £200
Through our charitable activities we are also able to provide financial assistance to individuals to help in part or full with the cost of undertaking either the trial week or the on-going programme. For further information please contact us through peter@standingstart.org

Donate Today
Standing Start is run as a non-profit making organisation and we are currently raising funds to continue to operate this exciting new facility in the UK. This has to cover purchase of equipment, fitting out premises, training staff, etc. etc. etc.
We are also developing a fund to help subsidise places for indivdiuals who could gain great benefit from the programme but are unable to meet the full or partial costs.
